About Monkey Sightings

Today, a monkey was spotted near Karako-cho, Choshi City. Monkeys are basically cautious animals, but as they are wild animals, they may move unpredictably.
If you encounter one, please pay attention to the following points.
・ Do not approach unintentionally, for example to take a picture.
・ Do not feed them.
・ Do not excite monkeys by shouting or waving sticks around.
・ Do not look directly into the monkey's eyes.
If threatened, look away, back away and leave the area.
Be careful not to run away.
If you see one, do not approach it and immediately call 110 or Choshi Police Station.
